These fire pits are made in India from recycled steel. They are lightweight and portable with a rustic look. They will oxidize and age with time. The BBQ rack sits across the centre of the bowl allowing you to control and refuel the fire whilst cooking. There is a water drainage hole covered with a disc in the bottom of the pit. BBQ rack and stand are included.
Choose your fire pit by deciding on the diameter of the fire bowl that suits your requirements.
This fire pit kit comprises of: Kadai Fire Pit, BBQ Rack, Lid and Heatproof Gloves
It is important you observe the care and maintenance recommendations.
Our fire pits are made from mild steel with an oil finish and will eventually oxidise and become a deep autumn colour. This will not impact on their long-term durability. They can be rubbed over with a wire brush and oiled but it is fine to just leave them outside and let them take their natural course. It is not essential to store your fire pit inside, it will happily survive being left outside all year round.
Use and Care of your Fire Pit
For best results make a big fire in the bowl of your fire pit at least half an hour before use.
The fire pit will get very hot so always use the heatproof gloves provided when adding fuel or tending to your food. We recommend that you use a good quality charcoal to cook with followed by seasoned logs to keep the fire going for warmth late into the night.
If you wish to protect you fire pit from the elements we recommend one of our Garland covers. The covers are made from multi-layered cross laminated polyethylene grade film. They have full weather and UV protection, welded waterproof seams and come with a 5 year guarantee.
